New page

In VW terms, Comments generally pertains to a posting left on a contri in the comment section. This is similar to a personal Bulletin board to provide feedback to the contributor on his or her contri. Many comments are nice, some offer interesting proposals *wink*, some contain constructive criticism and some are bashing in nature.

Comments are why many contributors send in their contri. Some will check their comments every day for the month, reading them all. A nice comment is a thank-you to the contributor for their huge effort in arranging and taking the images. Without comments, many contributors will no longer post.

VW has a system in place to review the alerted comments. But they can only be reviewed if someone alerts them. If you should see a comment that is bashing or spam or promoting another site, please hit the FLAG THIS POST AS INAPPROPRIATE button.

When a small number of people have alerted the comment it will be automatically removed from the contri and analyzed for content. Someone that leaves serial bashing comments will be noted by the comment bot, Sharky, and all comments from that person will be deleted. In Redclouds this can also trigger a termination of membership. Try to feed Sharky as often as possible. He loves bashers.

Constructive criticism is a form of commenting; however, when practiced by some people, it comes out as rude. Those lacking "tact" or diplomatic skills might be better off skipping the constructive criticism and just say, "Nice tits. Thanks." The golden rule of critiquing is to find two nice things to say for each criticism.
