In the sexual sense, mummification refers to the wrapping of the body tightly as to inhibit sensory input. It is a form of bondage that restricts almost all movement of any type. Care should be taken to not leave the subject wrapped for extended periods, as the body can overheat. NEVER leave the subject alone or cover their face with wrapping. Typically the best material to use is pallet wrap, a heavy duty plastic wrapping that will stick to itself. It is necessary to have safety scissors available to quickly release the subject when appropriate.
