Hourglass figure refers to the shape of a woman's body and a describing term of her figure. It is identified by the bust and hips roughly measuring the same circumference, with the waist being approximately 9 inches smaller than those measurements. For example, a woman with 38-29-38 measurements would fit nicely into the hourglass figure definition. A woman with huge boobs and a small waist and hips would not fall within the definition. For a true hourglass figure there needs to be a nice balance. Girls with hourglass figure do have curves.
Corsets are a means by which to exaggerate an hourglass figure.
