Polished nails are done by females to attract the attention of males. Hours are spent finding the right color shade to apply, and shaping of a nail. Fake nails are often used for those with little free time. Red is a preferred color for many, but all colors are available. Nails can be polished in wild designs using the nail surface for nail painting, or just the tips might be painted in the French manicure style. Small enterprises have set up shops all across the cities to help women shape, polish, and care for their nails. A man once mistakenly walked into one of these "NAILS" establishments looking for ten penny nails for a construction project. He was never seen again.
