World Naked Bike Ride
World Naked Bike Ride is an annual event held in cities around the world. As the name implies, people ride their bicycles naked through the streets protesting gasoline consumption and offering the alternative transportation of pedal power. Why naked? Why not! Their reasoning is to also include body acceptance, showing the benefits of pedal power to the body.
By pedaling naked, these devoted people are attempting to save the Earth. Thus far, the Earth has been saved, due in part by their efforts to ride their bicycles naked.
While not a truly erotic event, it is a event with lots of naked people appearing in public. Many of their events are billed as "bare as you dare" rather than requiring full nudity. Being a protest against gasoline dependence, many cities view this as Free Speech, and no arrests are made for public nudity (Nude is not Lewd). Even conservative towns allow the rides to happen and provide police to direct traffic at major intersections.
The World Naked Bike Ride is observed and monitored by voyeurs all over this planet and is considered a naked sport. The riders usually gather an hour or two before the ride begins to allow time for body painting or making friends to gather the courage to strip. This also allows photographers time to help promote the protest. Night rides are common, but some cities host theirs during the day.
