A heterosexual person is one that seeks sexual relations only with members of the opposite sex. This is commonly referred to as being straight.
Someone that has sex with either gender is bisexual. In the case of women, more commonly referred to as a REALLY FUN DATE.
Someone that has sex with only those of their own gender are homosexual, or more commonly referred to as gay for men and lesbian for women.
