The main reasons given:

• A different bed is more exciting.
• The hotel is equipped with different shower or tub facilities for water masturbation.
• After talking to different people at the hotel bar, she is more sexual excited than at home but does not want to have sex with any of these "strangers".
• Direct access to porn videos on the hotel tv.
• A more relaxed atmosphere than at home.
• A combination of all of the above.

The most occurring type of masturbation is the hidden masturbation, which means she masturbates in the privacy of her hotel room. Besides that also types of public masturbation might happen, like masturbating in front of a window or on a hotel balcony.
