Side Comments

Side Comments are part of a contri storyline placed to the left of the contri images. When you use the upload to submit a contri, the contributor is allowed to write a story for an introduction and for each image within the contri. Staff and guest commentators also place their comments to the left of the images. These are both referred to as side comments.

Sometime in August 2008, VW/RC started placing the side comments beneath the images rather than to the side. While a below comments might be more descriptive of their location, it has no ring to it. Side comments is still used, perhaps as in the notion to being aside commentary.
